Grocery Card Drive for SPS Families in Need

Donate Grocery Gift Cards for Somerville Public Schools Families!

The PTAs throughout the city are collecting grocery gift cards for Somerville Public Schools families in need.

Buy grocery cards in $25 increments from Market Basket, Stop and Shop, Target, and Dollar Tree and drop them in the red labeled box in the Kennedy front office during office hours, Monday-Friday, 7:45AM - 2:45PM. You can also drop them off  outside of school hours to Kate Van Sleet. Email or text Kate at kalane99@gmail.com / 508-846-3091 to coordinate off-hours drop-offs.

If you don't have time to buy grocery cards, you can donate to a special fundraiser. The PTA will take all funds raised and purchase gift cards on your behalf for the campaign.

All grocery cards will be distributed across all schools to families who need them. The Family Liaisons are working together across schools and can help YOUR family if you are struggling with buying groceries.

And remember that school breakfast and lunches are always free for all students. You can send your student in for breakfast starting at 7:30AM every school day.
